In my spare time (and you should know that all of my time is spare these days) I like to look at this photograph of the train station in Budapest and think about how, in a month’s time, i’ll be there again. Of all the train stations I’ve ever been to, this one may be my favorite for the simple fact that the tracks wind into the station and then…stop. They don’t pass through the station and keep going. They just end. You feel like you’ve come to the end of the world. But actually you’ve just come to a really bad ass city full of castles and eerie monuments to soviet leaders. So that’s pretty cool.
